Unfortunately, it is believed that many of cases of broken bones, bedsores, drug overdoses, dehydration and malnutrition go unreported every year. Even short-term abuse and or neglect can be permanently disabling or fatal due to an elderly person’s weak physical condition and failing mental state. Theft is another common occurrence. Electronics, jewelry and medication are often taken without anybody noticing.
